Cooperation with FEAAM for the complete development process of electric powertrains

TESIS DYNAware is cooperating with FEAAM, a spin-off of the Universität der Bundeswehr München. The close integration and interaction of the virtual and real development components of both partners results in a complete and continuous process for the development of electric powertrains, from the initial concept and design phase through to final trials on test rigs and test tracks.

The key components of the joint range of services provided by TESIS DYNAware and FEAAM include:

  • Vehicle concepts through vehicle simulation
  • Initial design of the electric motor and power electronics
  • Modular powertrain simulation with various levels of detail, including the electric motor, power electronics, internal combustion engine, battery, cooling system and virtual driving cycles
  • Detailed design (FEM)
  • Prototype building
  • HiL testing for the electric motor, power electronics and ECUs
  • Power electronics and engine test stands
  • Roller dynamometer testing
  • Test track for road testing

Instant customer benefit is offered by FEAAM’s new electric motor with its specially optimized efficiency, which is also available as a parameterized electric motor in DYNA4 Advanced Powertrain. This enables you to start the design and operating strategy of an all-electric or hybrid vehicle immediately with this new motor.
