From the road into the laboratory - ATZ online interview with Dr. Chucholowski
ATZ spoke to Executive Director Dr. Cornelius Chucholowski about the latest developments, new requirements and the potentials of the "virtual vehicle".
ATZ: What are the main areas of focus in your latest new developments?
Our first aim is to simplify the work routines performed by our development engineers. Examples are our "Suspension Analysis Toolbox", which enables the automatic generation of model parameters from test rig measurements, a comparison between simulation and measurement and the creation of reports. As a reliable tool for standard applications, our software is often used "out-of-the-box", in other words, the user does not have to rely on external support. Furthermore, we use simulation models that can address particularly complex issues such as real-time cyclic processes as well as models for simulating hybrid powertrains and driver assistance systems. We work together with universities and other partners and are seen as specialists for sophisticated path models in ECU and component development. Read more on ATZ online.
