Suspension Analysis Toolbox

The Suspension Analysis Toolbox enables the automated generation of axle parameters from K&C test rig measurements or results of MBS simulations.
The computed axle models can be validated on the virtual suspension test rig or modified interactively via a graphical user interface. The possible comparison of different axle models and the documentation of all steps of the data generation and verification in automatically generated reports efficiently support the axle development process.
- Suspension Generator
The Suspension Generator automatically generates axle kinematics tables and axle compliance tables from measurements (obtained e.g. from K&C test rigs) or from simulation results of complex multi-body system (MBS) programs. In addition, the deflections of springs and stabiliser as well as elasto-kinematic steering tables for the veDYNA vehicle model are computed. The resulting axle parameters can be directly verified by means of the virtual suspension test rig. Their influence on the overall vehicle performance may be assessed by simulation with the full vehicle model in veDYNA. The used measurements, the consistency of the working points, the generated data and the results of the parameter validation are documented automatically in generated reports. - Suspension Editor
With the Suspension Editor it is possible to manipulate existing axle datasets interactively via a graphical user interface. The influence of the kinematic data on characteristic values, such as roll pole, pitch pole and kingpin axis, is analysed and visualised already during processing. Accordingly, conceptual axle studies may be carried out easily without additional modelling or measuring effort. The modified axle models can be used directly for the simulation with veDYNA.
