For the simulation of commercial vehicles, the packages Truck Extension Standard and Truck Extension Light are available, which comprise characteristic model extensions, such as additional rear axles, specific suspension types and twin tyres. The Hook & Trailer add-ons for veDYNA Standard and veDYNA Light enable the simulation of trailers with multiples axles and their coupling with the towing vehicle. All supplementary packages are suitable for the function development on the PC as well for the hardware-in-the-loop operation, e.g. for the ECU test of trailer stabilisation controllers.

• Truck Extension Standard
  The package Truck Extension Standard extends veDYNA Standard by model properties for the simulation of commercial vehicles, such as trucks, busses and special purpose vehicles. The vehicle model contains specific axle types, such as real-time capable multi-body axle models for rigid and leaf spring axles, a torsional degree of freedom to consider twisting of the vehicle body as well as additional bodies for the engine, a moving load or the driver's cabin. Up to four steerable axles, twin tyres and 8x4 drive are possible.
• Truck Extension Light
  The package Truck Extension Light extends veDYNA Light by model properties for the simulation of commercial vehicles, such as trucks, busses and special purpose vehicles. The vehicle model contains specific axle types and a torsional degree of freedom to consider twisting of the vehicle body. Up to three steerable axles, twin tyres and 6x4 drive are possible.
• Hook & Trailer Extension Standard
  The Hook & Trailer add-on for veDYNA Standard enables the simulation of vehicle trains consisting of a towing vehicle and trailers with up to three axles. The simulation models offer full modularity in Simulink and detailed parameterisation of axles and tyres. By use of variable hitch parameters and due to the high numerical stability, the vehicle-trailer coupling is feasible for arbitrary vehicle trains and extreme driving maneuvers.
• Hook & Trailer Extension Light
  The Hook & Trailer add-on for veDYNA Standard enables the simulation of vehicle trains consisting of a towing vehicle and a trailer with up to three axles. The simulation models can be enhanced individually and can be parameterised with low data requirements. By use of variable hitch parameters and due to the high numerical stability, the vehicle-trailer coupling is feasible even for extreme driving maneuvers.
